This Dargah is the Dargah (Tomb) of Hazrat NizamuddinA uliya who was a well-known Sufi saint. The tomb of the famous Sufi poet Amir Khusro, Mughal princess Jehan Aara begum and Inayat Khan are also located in the same Dargah. People belonging to different religions, with different religious beliefs and faith visit this place all the year round. It is located in the West Delhi. A large crowd of believers visit the Dargah during the Urs ceremony of Amir Khusro and NizamuddinAulia. Rush is also seen on the death anniversaries of both the sufi saints.
The tomb of great Hazrat Nizamuddin consists of courtyards, marble arches, and jalis also known as lattice screens. It is a belief among the devotees that tying red color thread to these Jalis, will make their wishes come true.
The dark green scented cloth is used to cover the holy shrine just inside the tomb. In front of shrine, lots of rose petals, light sticks are showered as offering by the devotees.
Other famous tombs ofthe Mughal Princess Jehan Ara Begum and Amir Khusro are also located in the campus of Dargah. In the complex of the Dargah, there are also other tombs of people who wished to be buried after their death just next to the tomb of this Sufi Saint.
